Summary

As part of the Google UX Design Professional Certificate I designed a reaturant app. The main focus was to create an app that would help people find a restaurant to eat as fast as possible, and this app should be aware of context and user preferences. This app knows what your food preferences are, accounts allergies you have, and finds you a restaurant perfect for you.

Where to eat

Description

As part of the design process, I analized user journeys, identified user pain points, created user personas based on the findings, and then I made wireframes, usability analysis, and mockups. The main problem was that when you are hungry, finding a restaurant near it's harder than you may think. There are tons of apps that let you find a restaurant, but some of them don´t focus on finding restaurants, some other focus on shipping and reviews, but almost no one cares about user context and users's eating habits and preferences. This app focuses on knowing what the users wants and when, and gives them relavant options. Every step in the design and research process gave me vital information that helped me refined the design as I became more aware of user needs and had a better understanding of users'e mental model.
